Conditions of Entry

These Conditions of Entry apply to everyone entering or using any part of Goulburn Performing Arts Centre (GPAC), including the foyer, auditorium, bar, café and back-of-house areas.

We want GPAC to be a safe, welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone. By entering GPAC, you agree to follow these Conditions of Entry, any event-specific requirements and the reasonable directions of our staff.

These Conditions may be updated from time to time.

Your belongings

You are responsible for your own belongings while at GPAC. Please do not leave bags or personal items unattended.

The following items are not permitted unless otherwise approved by GPAC:

  • Illegal substances

  • Weapons, fireworks or other dangerous or inappropriate items

  • Professional cameras, GoPros, selfie sticks, poles or totems

  • iPads and similar large recording devices

  • Glass or aluminium containers

  • Food or alcohol purchased outside GPAC

  • Other items that GPAC considers unsafe or inappropriate

GPAC reserves the right to inspect you or your belongings before entry or while you are on the premises.

We may require bags or personal items to be stored in our cloakroom and may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who does not comply with these Conditions.

Your behaviour

We ask everyone to help us make GPAC a welcoming place for our audiences, artists and staff.

You must not:

  • Behave in a way that may damage property or threaten the safety of others

  • Unreasonably interfere with another person's enjoyment of a performance or event

  • Behave in a disorderly, offensive, rude or aggressive manner

  • Behave unlawfully or in a way that creates a risk to others

  • Use cameras, mobile phones or other electronic devices in a way that disrupts a performance or other audience members' enjoyment

Our staff may ask you to leave if your behaviour does not comply with these Conditions. If you are removed from the venue, a refund may not be provided.

Food and drink

Food and drink purchased outside GPAC, including alcohol, cannot be brought onto the premises.

Drinks purchased from the GPAC bar may be taken into the auditorium unless otherwise advised.

Hot food and hot drinks cannot be taken into the auditorium.

Photography, filming and recording

Photography, filming and audio recording may be restricted for particular performances or events. Please follow any instructions from our Front of House team and any signage at the venue.

Professional cameras, GoPros, selfie sticks, poles, totems and similar recording equipment are not permitted unless specifically authorised.

Please ensure that any permitted photography or recording does not disturb performers or other audience members.

Smoking and vaping

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside GPAC, in or near entryways, or anywhere outside the designated smoking area.

Alcohol

You must be 18 years or older to purchase or consume alcohol at GPAC.

Alcohol must not be supplied to anyone under 18.

Animals

Animals are not permitted inside GPAC unless they are registered assistance animals.

Other restrictions

Bicycles, motorcycles and motorised or electric scooters are not permitted inside GPAC without the express permission of management.

Members of the public must not enter areas of GPAC that are not open to the public.

Children

Children under 15 must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult aged 18 or over while attending GPAC.

18+ events

Only people aged 18 or over may attend events designated as Over 18 Events. Proof of age may be required.

Admission to performances

You must have a valid ticket or pass to attend an event or performance. You may also be required to provide proof of entitlement when using a concession ticket.

For the comfort and safety of our audiences and performers, latecomers may be held outside the auditorium or seated in an alternative location until a suitable break in the performance.

Re-entry after leaving the auditorium may also be restricted at GPAC's discretion.

Please follow all signage and directions from our staff when entering, exiting and moving around the venue.

Photography and your image

GPAC may photograph, film or record audiences and visitors at the venue for promotional, archival and other purposes.

By entering GPAC, you acknowledge and consent to the use of your image in accordance with these Conditions.

Security cameras operate throughout the premises and you may be recorded while attending GPAC.

Liability

You enter the GPAC premises subject to these Conditions and at your own risk, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

GPAC's liability is subject to any rights and protections you may have under applicable Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
