Shining Brightly- Sydney Symphony Orchestra

TOUR2022003_goulburn_updated.jpg

The Sydney Symphony performs music by Johann Sebastian Bach, the master of the Baroque style, and the great composers he inspired.

Like his father Johann Sebastian, CPE Bach was one of the most celebrated composers of his day, and his voice was just as original, shining through in his opulent and bright Symphony in A. Johann Sebastian Bach’s Concerto for Oboe and Violin is a shining example of what made him a master of the Baroque, and provides our Sydney Symphony soloists an opportunity to shine.

Inspired by both Bachs, Mendelssohn’s String Symphony completes this captivating performance – music of infectious happiness, and Mendelssohn at his most glorious.
